Come join us for the First Annual BBQ & Sweet Tea Festival!
Calling all chefs, restaurants, and backyard grillers!!
With BBQ and Sweat tea being staples of the south; why not bring a friendly competition to one of the “Best Places To Live!” Join us for a great southern time and all sorts of BBQ and Sweet Tea! Bring your best recipe and enter the Competition. If you have what it takes to be crowned the CSRA’s BEST!!
We will have live music, food, and, of course, SWEET TEA! Whether you are a novice or a pro, this competition is for you! Whether it’s BBQ or Sweet Tea, get ready to whip it up and cook or mix!
Each Competitor will have a 20x20ft spot designated for the preparation of their meals. No two-story structures are allowed. All belongings and materials must be contained in the cooking area.
Competitors will be able to sell meats throughout the event.
Gas Grills, Charcoal Grills, Food Trucks, etc are permitted!
Teams may prepare the provided Boston Butts any way they want if it is suitable to be served to the public.
Teams must prepare the barbeque on-site at Generations. The meat will be provided by the host site and will be available for pickup beginning at 3 pm to 5 pm on Friday, July 28th
Each team will be responsible for cooking a case (6 butts) of Boston Butts.
Teams are expected to serve their barbeque to the public from 11:00 am. until 3:00 p.m. BBQ & Sweet Tea Festival will provide teams with the necessary containers to serve the barbeque to the public.
Under NO circumstances are alcoholic beverages to be distributed.
All teams are asked to remain professional and respect the rights of the other cook teams (space, language, loud music) and to conduct themselves in a professional manner always.
